Founder

Rebecca trained as an Actor and graduated with a BA honors degree in Performing Arts. Since graduating, Rebecca has extensive experience in a wide vareity of Theatre and Performance. Rebecca opened the school in September 2005 and continues to run the school today. Her aim was to create an environment that would not only give youngsters a solid foundation in the Performing Arts but to offer them the chance to experience a diverse range of performance styles.

In 2007 Rebecca joined forces with Stephanie Scott to open her second school Blue Stage. Alongside her own school, Rebecca continues to teach and develop Drama throughout the North West for schools, colleges and various other organisations.

Dance Teacher

Miss Rebecca Walton trained as a dancer and teacher at the Northern Ballet School in Manchester. At the Northern Rebecca gained her teaching qualifications in the Imperial Society of Teachers Associates from Modern Dance, Ballet and National, the Royal Academy of Dance teaching certificate, Psychology of children, Anatomy, History of Dance and a Diploma in the teaching techniques of dance. Rebecca is a registered teacher and member with the Royal Academy of Dance. Her training was very intensive and covered all aspects of dance. Rebecca has danced professionally in Portugal, for the BBC North Television, Flannels dance modeling, Manchester City Ballet and Jazzaglore Company.

Stephanie Connell

Acting Coach

Stephanie ha recently graduated with an Upper Class 2:1 Degree in Theatre Studies from the University of Chester. Since starting the course in 2005 she has gained experience in dramatic technique and performance skills from naturalism to physical theatre, directing, producing and teaching. Stephanie is an experienced workshop leader having travelled through Hungary and Romania in both 2007 and 2008 teaching educational drama to local children, and also running a four month project with a local primary school earlier this year. Stephanie is thrilled to be part of Big Stage Theatre to build on her experience and loves seeing young people reach their potential through a passion for drama.
